For visitors to the area who wish to access the slopes in Finkenberg and Hippach, a free shuttle bus runs from Mayrhofen and is happy to carry a reasonable amount of equipment.

For those looking to explore Mayrhofen, both cycling and hiking routes are popular ways to see more of the area's beautiful scenery. The Zillertal has in excess of 800 km of cycle routes with many of these being suitable for even the most inexperienced of riders and many hotels have bikes to borrow or hire.
